1) That depends on your definition of "god". By some definitions god is the universe and nature around us. The Abrahamic god, on the other hand, is highly unlikely. If that god does exist, it is extremely deceptive. I would define god as a "creator" of this universe. Thus far, it is impossible to know. 2) I respond to this with "Why wouldn't we be?" Imagine if nothing existed (I don't think we are capable of doing that). We exist as a result of billions of years of physical reactions. Matter exists and we are the current result. 3) We die. Our bodies return to nature and we hope the people who survive us remember us well.

#1. Yes, there is a higher intelligence/power than us. Whether it's a God or not is irrelevant. This higher power does not want us to create a religion around it or to worship it. #2. We're all here for different purposes. You find out your purpose by experiencing life and through the course of time. Time helps you create and define yourself and for whatever reason you were put on this earth for. #3. Of course nobody truly knows what happens when you die. It feels almost a waste of time if you just die. But, also a little far fetched to have "recycled souls" or heaven and hell. My philosophy is to stick to your morals and to be a good person and whatever does happen after death, you'll be good to go :]

1) No. God is a ridiculous concept which defies all logical sense. "God" is created when we want so badly to believe that something is doing this to us, or can help us out of helpless situations. We want to believe that someone has control over the things out of our hands, to make pain easier to deal with. But this is just wishful thinking. There's a lot more life to be lived when you live it yourself, instead of under the shadow of a god that's in your head. Religion was created to give us moral compass, to give us consequences for our actions. But the truth is that most people understand the difference between "right" and "wrong" without the threat of Hell or reward of Heaven. 2) We're here for the same reason all the other plants and animals are here: our parents mated and we were the result. The fact that we're capable of sentient thought doesn't mean we're any more special than mice that raid our cuboards. 3) When you die, you're dead. That's it. An after-life is even more ridiculous than the concept of god. I just read the other day, "Death is sad. Believing that when you die, you go to an infinite place of never-ending happiness where everyone else who died also went is sad AND pathetic."

1) Does "A" God exist? Yes, Does the Christian God exist. Probably not. Personally I believe that each religion has come to certain truths however, they have came to much more falsehoods. Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, etc have been in existence before Christianity was even heard off. This does not necessarily grant them greater wisdom but it has given them a longer time to sort out the nonsense. Just like languages differ between cultures to say the same concepts, religion is no differnt. The Greeks needed their twelve gods to convey their messages, the animistic nations need hundreds, and Christians need one. God is broken up into Many forms to speak to differnt cultures in differnt ways to ultimately bring about the same concepts. But like language, things all too often get lost is translation.  2) I believe that we are here to make the most of life. God in my opinion is not very active in our lives. By doing so we govern ourselves and our true nature becomes apparent. If God put us all on this planet to worship him then it is a very pompous being and overly vain; which is against the teachings of the bible, Qu'ran, the Book of the dead, Sanskrit, etc. Ultimately, we are here to transcend material possessions and reach a higher level of understanding about ourselves and humankind as a whole.  3) When we die... I believe that however we lived our life dreaming the after will be, will be. For example... If I lived my life believing in heaven/hell then when I die those concepts will be applied. If you believe in reincarnation then you will be reincarnated, and so forth. Basically... Our mind will confine our soul into the afterlife that it has convinced itself would take place... It's a concept I came up with and I feel it solves religious issues and brings more peace between cultures. It stops the bickering lol

#1 Yes, He is a supreme spiritual being that resides in each of us! That is how he knows all & sees all. He knows our needs. He answers all our prayers but sometimes we do not like the answers. He allows us freedom of choice but with our choices we also accept responsibility for our actions. My entire life has proven to me that there is a GOD, I am a true believer. #2 The reason we are here is to experience LIFE. Some are chosen to mentor others, maybe that is why I entered your life. Everyone has a purpose known only to GOD. #3 I believe our body dies & sometimes our soul but I also believe in recycled souls that are on earth many times, that is where the concept of an 'Old Soul' comes from. I believe I am an old soul. I believe this happens until the end of time & then we will all know why we were here & what will ultimately happen to our souls. I have 3 questions for you: #1 Why are you seeking answers to these questions? #2 What difference will the outcome of these questions make in you life? #3 Why are you concerned about death instead of enjoying life? Please e-mail me your answers.
