Chapter 21

SPIRITUAL HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

The following chapter is similar to Chapter 9 of Follow the White Rabbit. However, since we learned that “Life is Circles,” in Chapter 62 of that book, it serves us to review the healing powers of truth.

                Have you ever been gliding through life and you suddenly trip and fall? You weren’t living very consciously, and now find yourself lying on the pavement. Tears fill your eyes. You realize you made a mistake. Your elbows and knees are all scraped-up. You know there’s dirt in your wounds, and you wonder if they’ll become infected.

                You think to yourself, I need to clean these wounds!

                You think back to your younger days, and remember when your elders would reach for hydrogen peroxide. They’d say, “Just let me pour some of this on your boo-boo, and it won’t get infected.”

                As the bubbles begin to fizz around your cut, you intuitively sense that the germs are being destroyed. The bubbly white foam that surrounds your cut makes you feel as though the healing process has already begun. You notice the stinging.

                “Ouch!” you scream. The tears are still rolling down your cheeks. Although you’ve made a stupid mistake, you realize that the wounds aren’t going anywhere. For someone in your position, you’ve taken the only action that makes sense—cleaning out the wound.

                You’ve done all you can do as a Conscious Creator. Now, it’s time to let go and let God (Nature). You understand that God (Nature) will heal your boo-boo; it’s just going to take some time.

                Let’s think about how this fall relates to our relationships: Maybe you and a friend (or family member) had a “falling out.” Perhaps, like Miss Piggy from the last chapter, a more sensitive wound was created in your love-relationship. Whatever the case may be, the only way you’re going to “clean the infection” is to pour a little spiritual hydrogen peroxide into the wound.

                Spiritual hydrogen peroxide is ... the truth.

                In Miss Piggy’s case, for example, the only way to regain Kermit’s respect is to restore the part of the relationship that she destroyed. She can’t take back the butterfly-kiss. She can’t go back and change the terms of their relationship agreement, in order to make the butterfly-kiss acceptable. Now, the only thing she can do is restore the honesty portion of their relationship.

                The best thing to do is sit down and say the following:
